SKILLS
Ninjutsu: Petal Barrage
Hanabi's Basic Attacks and Skills will launch Petal Blades after hitting a target, bouncing up to 4 times to nearby enemies (the first bounce deals 40% of the damage, and subsequent bounces deal 85% of the previous). Bounces from her Basic Attacks inherit a portion of Attack Effects.
Ninjutsu: Equinox
Cooldown: 14–12 s by level
control immunityshield
Passive: The secret Ninjutsu of the Scarlet Shadow makes Hanabi immune to control effects when she has a shield from any source.
Active: Hanabi gains a 300–600 (+40% PA) shield for 5 seconds. When the shield is active, Hanabi gains 20% Movement Speed, 25% Attack Speed, and 20% of damage dealt will also be added to this shield (only 10% of the damage dealt to non-hero units). The shield cannot exceed 50% of Hanabi's max HP.
Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll
Cooldown: 8–6 s by level
slow
Hanabi fires the energy Kunai in the targeted direction, dealing 450–600 (+80% PA) physical damage to enemies along the way and reducing their Movement Speed by 60% for 1 second. Enemy units hit will also be marked, allowing Hanabi's next Bounce Damage from Basic Attacks to deal 30–180 (+100% PA) physical damage on them with no damage decay.
Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana
Cooldown: 40 / 35 / 30 s by level
immobilize
Hanabi throws Higanbana in the targeted direction, dealing 300–500 (+50% PA) physical damage to the first enemy hero hit and immobilizing them for 0.8 seconds. After 1 second, Higanbana will bloom at the location of the first hit, dealing 300–500 (+50% PA) physical damage to nearby enemies. Subsequent hits on the same target decays 20% damage.

BEST TEAMMATES
HOW TO PLAY HANABI
Maintain your shield by dealing damage to stay immune to crowd control. Position yourself so your basic attacks bounce between multiple enemies, and save your Ultimate to root groups during teamfights.
HOW TO PLAY AGAINST HANABI
- Do not waste crowd control during Ninjutsu: Equinox — it does not land then.
- No dashes — easy to catch with control and a dive.
HIDDEN MECHANICS
What the in-game descriptions do not tell you: crowd-control rules and verified skill quirks. How crowd control works →
- Basic attacks do not bounce to enemies with invisibility, but does bounce to concealed enemies within sight.
- Does not bounce to nearby enemies when attacking a turret, but does bounce to a turret when another enemy is hit.
- Only provides CC Immune on self and allied shields.
- Only prevent upcoming CC on Hanabi, does not remove ongoing debuffs nor immune to them.
- Fully bounce to concealed enemies.
- Immobilize — low-level control: does not interrupt skills — the target can still cast; blocked by control immunity.
- If enemies hit are displaced away from the hitting position, the bloom damage only takes place at the position before displacement.
