SKILLS

WHO COUNTERS RUBY

Pick them when the enemy has Ruby · score is their advantage
X.Borg11.1
Anti-regen plus true damage cancels her lifesteal completely, and he keeps enough armour to hold the extended trade she wants.
Kalea10.5
Health-scaling damage out-trades her sustain and the grab catches her mid-combo.
Arlott10.5
You reset onto her repeatedly and punish her every time the hook cooldown is spent.
Her passive dashes with every skill cast, so each combo she throws feeds your chase — the largest measured edge against her.
Constant CC and pulls make it hard for your Demon to stay on target.

WHO RUBY COUNTERS

Pick Ruby into them
Sun10.6
Lifesteal off the clones keeps you topped up while you drag the real one out.
Gloo10.1
The pulls peel him off your carry and the sustain outlasts his sticky pressure.
Chip10.0
You answer the engage Chip needs to start the fight.
Yve9.7
You interrupt Yve mid-cast and waste the ultimate. Heavy crowd control on a hero who cannot escape it.
Joy9.6
Your control lands the moment Joy commits to the jump.

HOW TO PLAY RUBY

You rely entirely on Spell Vamp; basic attacks do not trigger lifesteal for you. Use your passive dash after every skill to reposition, dodge skill-shots, and stack your defense bonuses. Your S2 is a micro-stun that can instantly cancel enemy channelings and dashes. A classic combo is Ultimate + Flicker backward to drag enemies deeply under your tower.

HOW TO PLAY AGAINST RUBY

  1. No protection from control — a stun before the engage wins the duel.

HIDDEN MECHANICS

Let's Dance!
  • Backward dash distance is shorter than of forwards and sidewards. When using aimed skill, "front" would be the direction of the skill is facing. When using skill 2, "front" would be the direction Ruby is facing before using the skill.
Don't Run, Wolf King!
  • Stun — basic-level control: interrupts only some skills, not most channels; blocked by control immunity.
