Strengths
  • Control immunity during Raging Sandstorm
  • High mobility: several dashes

SKILLS

WHO COUNTERS KHALEED

Pick them when the enemy has Khaleed · score is their advantage
Desert Tornado and Raging Sandstorm are both dashes, so every engage he makes cuts your cooldown and lets you leap on him.
Constant true damage beats his healing, and he cannot burst you down before it wears him out.
You out-range him from safety and punish him whenever Sand Walk is spent.
Spectre Step strips his defence and the execute cuts through the regeneration he duels with.
You absorb his shield into your own health, which removes the regeneration advantage his whole lane is built on.

WHO KHALEED COUNTERS

Pick Khaleed into them
You interrupt Faramis mid-cast and waste the ultimate. Faramis wants to group while you take the map somewhere else.
Yin10.5
You simply win the isolated fight he drags you into.
Lolita10.5
He closes on her past a shield that only faces one direction and out-damages her up close.
Yve10.1
You interrupt Yve mid-cast and waste the ultimate. You out-sustain the poke Yve relies on.
Kalea10.0
Fragile support; your area damage and Ultimate are perfect for diving her linked team.

HOW TO PLAY KHALEED

Abuse your high early-game damage by clearing waves fast and rotating. Use your second skill (Quicksand Guard) to bait enemy skills and regenerate health, but be careful as hard crowd control will cancel it.

HOW TO PLAY AGAINST KHALEED

  1. Do not waste crowd control during Raging Sandstorm — it does not land then.

HIDDEN MECHANICS

What the in-game descriptions do not tell you: crowd-control rules and verified skill quirks. How crowd control works →
Sand Walk
  • This effect can trigger item effects such as Blade of the Heptaseas' passive - "Ambush".
  • Khaleed maxes out full 100 Desert Power at (approximately) an accumulated moving distance of 20 unit. It is advised to move circularly to increase the accumulation speed. He begins to lose Desert Power after 3 seconds of not maintaining, and depletion since full takes approxinately 6.5 seconds or 15 Desert Power per second.
  • Khaleed does not gain Desert Power when he blinks or teleports away. Aside from joystick movement or movement from his abilities, he also gains Desert Power when knockbacked a significant distance or affected by Cyclone Eye.
  • The range of Desert Power can be increased with the Malefic Gun passive Malefic Energy.
Desert Tornado
  • Each phase of this ability is only initiated when there is a movement order from joystick.
  • Khaleed can use basic attack while standing in place, or use other abilities without canceling this ability.
Quicksand Guard
  • Battle spells and Recall can be used without cancelling the ability.
  • The remaining duration is visible to everyone having sight over him.
  • The effect is hidden if Khaleed is not sighted.
Raging Sandstorm
  • Stun — basic-level control: interrupts only some skills, not most channels; blocked by control immunity.
