SKILLS
Grand Lord Lava
slow
Thamuz's Basic Attacks have a 10%-60% chance (based on Lava's Rage) to conjure Lava Energy beneath the target that erupts after a brief delay, dealing 55 (+60% PA, +8 per level) true damage. Basic Attacks that don't trigger Lava Energy will increase Thamuz's Lava Rage. When without Scythes, Thamuz gains 25% Movement Speed. After retrieving his Scythes, his next Basic Attack slows the target by 30% and is guaranteed to trigger Lava Energy
Molten Scythes
Cooldown: 3 s
pullslow
Thamuz tosses Scythes in the target direction. After travelling for a certain distance or hitting the first enemy hero, they deal 120–270 (+60% PA) physical damage. The Scythes will then slow nearby enemies by 30% and deal 45–80 (+20% extra PA) physical damage every 0.5 seconds.
After leaving Thamuz for [≈5 seconds] or a certain distance, the Scythes will return to Thamuz and drag enemies in their path to him. Thamuz can approach the Scythes or cast the skill again to retrieve them.
Chasm Trample
Cooldown: 8–6 s by level
slowleap
Thamuz jumps to a designated area to deal 230–355 (+60% extra PA) physical damage and slow the enemy units by 25% for 2 seconds upon landing.
If the scythes are still travelling, they will return to Thamuz and Molten Scythes will reset its CD instantly.
Cauterant Inferno
Cooldown: 38 / 34 / 30 s by level
healing
Thamuz spouts the lava stored in his body, dealing 300–480 (+80% PA) physical damage to nearby enemies and creating a Cauterant Inferno around him. The Cauterant Inferno lasts 9 seconds and deals 30–60 (+10% extra PA) physical damage every 0.5 seconds to enemies in the area.
Meanwhile, Thamuz gains 800–1200 (+50% extra HP) extra Max HP, heals himself by the same amount, and increases his Attack Speed by 60%-100%. He also recovers 1.5%-2.5% Max HP each time he deals damage with Basic Attacks or his Scythes.

HOW TO PLAY THAMUZ
You are a sustained brawler. Throw your scythes (S1) to poke and slow, then use S2 to jump to them and pull them back, enhancing your next basic attack with true damage. During your Ultimate, you must constantly hit targets with basic attacks to heal. Avoid heavy crowd control and kite-heavy heroes that prevent you from basic attacking.
HOW TO PLAY AGAINST THAMUZ
- No protection from control — a stun before the engage wins the duel.
HIDDEN MECHANICS
What the in-game descriptions do not tell you: crowd-control rules and verified skill quirks. How crowd control works →
- The enhanced basic attack allows Thamuz to dash to the target's location. Note that attacks triggered by Rage are not counted as a dash, despite having the same visual effect.
- The enhanced basic attack range is 3.0
- Cooldown starts after retrieving the Scythes.
- Thamuz cannot cast the 2nd phase of Molten Scythes for approximately 0.2 seconds after casting the same skill.
- Retrieving the scythes by tapping again the skill is not considered as a skill cast.
- Thamuz can use this skill while under CC effects, including Suppression.
- Unlike his passive, the enhanced basic attack gained from retrieving the scythes is considered a movement ability, meaning Phoveus can benefit from it through Demonic Force.
- Pulling a target stuns them for approximately 0.1 seconds, which is enough to interrupt certain channeled abilities, such as Feathered Air Strike.
- Chasm Trample follows the same logic as certain 'jump' abilities such as Guinevere's Spatial Migration, meaning it can reach a longer distance when used at a maximum distance behind a wall.
- The attack speed increase is multiplied to the total attack speed.
- Healing during dealing damage with skills and basic attacks does not include sustained damage from Molten Scythes and Cauterant Inferno.
- Although unspecified on the skill's description, Thamuz gains full rage from Grand Lord Lava on cast.
